This introductory level workshop offers practitioners in criminal justice, health care, mental health, substance abuse, and social services the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of MI and to begin to incorporate them into their work.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centered evidence-based approach that provides processes, skills and strategies for having effective conversations with people about making health or behavior changes. This training is for current ASU Social Work students and professionals working in the field. It is designed as an introduction for new learners and is also a great “refresher” for those already familiar with MI.
