This Motivational Interviewing introductory training is a 100% online, self paced course covering the concepts, skills, processes, techniques, and strategies of Motivational Interviewing. Continuing Education credits for certain professional groups are available.

You’ll learn how to give your clients information and advice that they readily accept and act on.
This is the first of three in the series which provides the opportunity to practice at every level and includes introductory, intermediate and advanced-level practice. Participants will have the opportunity to practice MI skills with the support of the trainer, using “role-play”, “real play” and experiential approach. Using presentations, videos and demonstrations, the trainer will guide participants in learning the important components of the spirit and skills for effective use of MI.

Participants will be guided through a sequence of experiential exercises to explore and shape communication practices, and begin the process of increasing proficiency in MI.
