Eight Ways to Hope: Charting a Path through Uncertain Times

Hope is an experience that every human being knows, but what is it actually?

In this advanced, intensive 3-day training, proficiency in understanding Motivational Interviewing (MI) is assumed as a starting point so applicants must already have substantial familiarity and experience with Motivational Interviewing. The focus is on training and coaching skills toward teaching MI and to facilitate the learning of MI by others. This training does not focus on acquisition of proficiency in the clinical skills themselves.

During this three day workshop, participants will:

•Discuss ways to teach, coach this material to others.

Cultural Humility in MI: Opportunities and Advancements

Please join us for an  all-day online conference entitled "Cultural Humility in MI: Opportunities and Advancements." Keynote address by Dr. Sylvie Naar and presentations by Dr. Christine Lee, Dr. Andrew Hamid and Maurice Bulls. Closing remarks by Dr. Melba Nicholson-Sullivan.  The conference will be moderated by Dr. Allen Zweben. This conference will focus on ways in which concepts related to power, racism, oppression and privilege can be infused in training on Motivational Interviewing skill development.
