MITI Coding Training
John Brelsford leads this workshop using presentations, readings, transcripts, audiotape, DVD and group practice. Participants will learn to recognize and categorize common elements of practitioner or clinician competence in Motivational Interviewing. Participants for this workshop should have experience in Motivational Interviewing and a desire to learn the MITI 4.2.1 for supervisory, training or research purposes. This course will include large group exercises and individual or small group coding practice. Pre-workshop readings will be sent out and there will be an option for a free follow-up conference call for inter-rater reliability.
