MITI CODING 101!
This 2-day training will introduce participants to the MITI 4 coding system.
Participants will learn about the purpose and value of coding for MI
research and practice. They will practice with the MITI global measures and
behavior counts. They will have an opportunity for self-evaluation using the
MITI as well as providing feedback and coaching for other practitioners.
This training is appropriate for anyone who is new to coding.
The MITI is used currently in a variety of settings to evaluate the extent the
MI is being delivered as intended. It is also widely used to provide feedback
for practitioners and to guide skill coaching. It is the coding system that is
used for evaluating TNT applicants. The practice of coding can add
substantially to the skills of the practitioner regardless of their role.
This 2-day workshop will:
+ Introduce participants to the latest revision of the MITI coding manual.
+ Provide guidance and practice for using the new MITI global measure.
+ Provide guidance and practice for using the new MITI behavior counts.
+ Offer opportunities to apply the new MITI concepts to self-evaluation,
training and coaching.
