I currently work as a supervisor for a company that does advance care planning with chronic and terminally ill individuals and their families. I have experience both utilizing MI in this setting doing direct client work, as well as training/onboarding new hires in MI, and then subsequently supervising and coaching my specialists, ongoing.
I enjoy teaching MI at a basic level through advanced practice using role/real plays and utilizing live coaching as well as coaching to recorded sessions. I have some limited experience coding in my company, using a variation of a tool that resembles the MITI but incorporates more program specific metrics. I also feel comfortable faciliting group practice.
