Kimberlee Barrella (she/her) holds her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation. She is pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. Her dissertation focuses on motivational interviewing learning communities as a means of an implementation science strategy to support client change.
Kim co-owns Navigate Counseling and Consultation Services, a mental health private practice with several locations in northeast Ohio. While Navigate celebrates all identities, they aim to provide a safe and affirming space for LGBTQ+ individuals, relationships, and families. Her specialty areas include identity exploration among adolescents, emerging adults, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition, she has extensive training in motivational interviewing and completed parts one and two of EMDR basic training.
