I am a speech language pathologist (SLP). As a clinical instructor at the University of New Mexico Speech and Hearing Sciences graduate program, I enjoy working with graduate students as well as clients with voice and swallowing differences/disorders.
I enjoy exploring the application of MI to the field of speech therapy. Since individuals with communication and swallowing difficulties often have an intimate and complex relationship with change, I believe the therapies SLPs provide can be greatly enriched through the use of MI.
