This two day workshop is a dynamic and interactive Motivational Interviewing (MI) Intermediate and Advanced Program designed to enhance and accelerate the of practice MI skills, using MI adherence principles with an emphasis on spirit, deep empathic listening, guided practice and feedback. 12 CE'e
What You Will Learn —Review of MI Fundamentals: Spirit, Strategies, and Skills —Re-examine the key concepts of ambivalence, change talk and discord (resistance) —Explore and deepen knowledge of the Four Processes of Engagement, Focusing, Evoking, and Planning —Elevate the knowledge and practice of MI in a learner’s setting of conversation change —Receive feedback and coaching consistent with MI practice
Target Audience: Helping professionals including psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, recovery coaches, MH/SA/PG counselors. Space limited to maximize the learning and practice opportunities
Requirement: For those who have had 1-2 full days of MI Skills Training/Coaching
Location: Aviary Recovery Center, 333 S Kirkwood Rd, St, 305 , MO 63122 (Inside PNC Bank) 9am-4:30pm
