Participants are expected to arrive prepared to practice the skills that were learned in the introductory level training.  3-Day Advancing your MI Practice

This 3 day in person training is for anyone wanting to advance their skills in Motivational Interviewing.  Whether you've had a 1 day training or a few days, want to brush up on your MI skills this training will address all levels of MI including changes from MI4.

Topics Covered:

• Advancing the 4 Processes/Tasks of MI: Engagement, Focusing, Evoking and Planning

• How to pull for “change talk” versus “sustain talk” or “discord” as a key indicator of movement towards change

A Taste of Motivational Interviewing

This is a practice focused  two-day workshop integrating use of diads and triads and interconnecting discussion in relation to client centred working.  The workshop will also focus on self care for the therapist in the work supporting behaviour change  in clients.  This workshop is ideally for thoses who normally do not get the opportunity to develop MI skills through CPD and hense the very low or no cost ( for trainees and pre accreds).

Formation intermédiare de l’Entretien motivationnel : Les participants ayant déjà une connaissance de l’EM développent leurs habiletés par voie de la pratique et la discussion dans une atmosphère d’apprentissage riche et expérientielle dans cet atelier de 2 jours. Bâtissant sur leur connaissance des outils et habiletés en EM, les participants ont la possibilité d’approfondir leur compréhension de l’EM, les stratégies utiles à ammener les clients vers le changement, et améliorer leur pratique. Le contenu de l’atelier sera adapté aux besoins spécifiques du groupe.
