Introduction to Motivational Interviewing: The Spirit and the Skills

This training is ten instructional hours and includes video demonstrations, participant role plays, reflective practice, group discussions and small group activities. This training does not include coaching or the supervised practice of skills. This is for beginners who are seeking to understand and explore an alternative style of communicating when helping an individual to strengthen their personal motivation for and commitment to a specific change goal.

Day One (9 am - 3:30 pm EST)

This half-day (4 hours) live session is ideal for busy individuals looking for introductory or refresher training. Whether you’re a clinician in a behavioral health setting, a supervisor trying to boost staff morale or a nurse helping patients manage diabetes, motivational interviewing (MI) training can help you create conversations that empower people to grow and make meaningful changes.
