Currently working as a train-the-trainer and coach for social workers in the Salvation Army Academy in the Netherlands, in which MI is one of the important basics.
Developing and building training-routes and providing unique workshops is what I like a lot.
I've been involved in projects in countries in Eastern Europe, such as Ukraine, Georgia and Greece to provide training for colleagues in youthcare and social work. And in West-Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone and Liberia) in a project for girls as well as training for PRAWA (police, justice officers and probation) in Nigeria and Ghana.
In (life- and workrelated-) coaching I use my MI-skills! I also embraced the concept of 'Protecting coats', in Dutch 'Beschermjassen', which means offering protection to people or groups by embedding them in their sources of power. Offering safety and warmth, wrapping people in the old and familiar, helps combat exclusion and creates connection.
I work as a volunteer in an NGO for LHBT, I have lots of experience in guiding groups and organizing all kinds of activities for various people within this NGO.
