I believe it is a privilege to provide MI training for professionals who serve our communities. I became a MINT member in 2008, and I continue to be humbled to enter agencies that provide services for those who are often marginalized in society, and to guide professionals to learn and implement MI into their practice to promote positive change. I have been privileged to develop and implement 400 hours of MI training workshops for a variety of agencies. My trainings have included work with professionals in correctional settings (probation and parole; department of corrections), mental health and substance use providers, peer specialists, rehabilitation service providers (IPS program), child protection and foster care service providers, and higher education (college counselors, residence life, and health care professionals). In addition to providing MI trainings, I have engaged in various speaking opportunities to share information about MI and its applications at national, regional, state, and local conferences and programs. I believe in the power of MI to encourage positive change, and I work to adapt my trainings to best meet the needs of the agency, professionals, and clients served. It would be my pleasure to discuss your training needs. Office: (954) 262-5734 Email: miarussi@nova.edu
