Róisín Walsh is a Senior occupational therapist and group psychotherapist who has been working in the field of mental health and addictions since 2003. She completed her first training in MI in 2008 and joined the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers after the 2017 TNT in Dublin, Ireland.
Having learned how to really listen herself, Róisín is passionate about the potential for the spirit of MI to enhance practice wherever and with whomever you work by evoking and strengthening a clients’ own motivation to make a change or to figure out what that change might be. Róisín is particularly interested clinically in the application of Motivational Interviewing in groups and as a trainer in working to support practitioners in developing their skills and build confidence in utilising them in the same way she received great encouragement from fellow MINTie’s along the way.
