I am a licensed social worker and mental health advocate. I am currently the Senior Director at Safe Horizon Lang House, which is an emergency domestic violence shelter for families with children. I am also a fee for service Therapist for the Jewish Board. I have almost 10 years of experience working with trauma survivors and people experiencing homelessness.
I have experience providing Motivational Interviewing (MI) training to domestic violence shelter staff specifically case managers, housing specialists, children youth specialists, and supervising social workers. Training is one of the most exciting aspects of my career. I approach training with curiosity, empathy, and collaboration. I was born and raised in the South Bronx. My education and experience have shaped my interest in providing services for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) communities. I am passionate about MI and love introducing it to others.
